honeymoon - day five

finally, a blog with integrated text and pictures... :) today was our last full day of honeymoon before we head back to the twin cities. we definitely started it off right by heading to the larsmont cottages, a resort just south of twin harbors. we had the best breakfast we've had all week which i have included with a pic below. it was absolutely amazing - i had the camper's omelette and terri tried a home version of eggs benedict. if you're ever up here, stop in and make time for a meal!

following breakfast, terri and i both had an hour-long massage by the therapists at larsmont cottage. we left well-fed and incredibly relaxed. it's amazing that either of us had enough motivation to do anything else for the rest of the day. however, it's our honeymoon, and the show must go on... our next stop was the glensheen mansion on the north end of duluth. we took the hour long tour of the main house - a 27,000 square foot home formerly owned by the congdon family until the late 1970s. the amazing part of the estate is that the house is still shown with all of the original furniture belongings. it was a nice way to spend an hour - if you're in to that sort of thing. :)

after dinner we headed back to canal park and did a little shopping and dining. we found a really cute little kitchen/knick-knack store and bought some new napkins and napkin rings to complement the dishware we registered for. you'll have to join us for dinner some night soon so you can check them out in person. then we headed over for dinner at bellisio's near the lift bridge. it was absolutely fantastic!!! i tried a spaghetti dinner with italian sausage and terri had their fettucini alfredo with some of the best alfredo sauce i've ever tried.

after dinner we headed back up the north shore to the resort. we grabbed the cribbage board and headed back to the vanilla board for some hot fudge sundaes and coffee. we're already starting to act like old married folks... :) it really has been an amazing week and we're both feeling very blessed to have found each other and been able to share our experience with you. we're looking forward to heading home tomorrow and beginning our new life together, and with you. until next time...
