life after honey... moon, that is

man you people are needy!!! - a guy doesn't get around to posting on a blog for a few measly months, and you would think the world was ending...

maybe it is...

hope everyone has enjoyed rereading honeymoon updates for the past few months. i know i have! as usual, much has happened over the last few months that you would probably love to know about. here's the cliff's notes version - feel free to drop me a line sometime if you want more juicy details.

september
wedding, honeymoon (yeah, yeah, i know... you've heard enough about the honeymoon...), my class at the university of minnesota started (human physiology), and my new job at hennepin county medical center working as a clinical analyst on the electronic health record project (read here, epic) began. additionally, terri and i went to our favorite semiannual pancake breakfast at our friend alex's grandfather's elk lodge in lake elmo. they seriously have some of the best sausage i've ever had!!! alex & tony made a surprise trip to the cities to be at the breakfast which made it that much better. terri's dad turned the big six-oh, and our friends, holly and erik were married in st. paul with a fabulous reception at the st. paul hotel. to die for dahling... really... :)

october
i submitted my application to uw madison for the physician assistant program, had the october birthday party at mom & dad brownes in burnsville, went to a surprise birthday party for terri's sister nikki up in alexandria, and celebrated halloween at adam's apartment - if you haven't seen the pics, i'll leave you with the following mental image: cross dressing maid and butler... nuff said...

november
first and second physiology exams came and passed, election day came and passed, gas came and... er... wait a minute... we hosted a game night at our place with some of our college friends - no pants in suitcases here folks... thanksgiving was at kim & jamie's house in plymouth (terri's sister) this year with most of the usual fixings. the food was dee-lish and mom & dad thronson drove down to the cities to join us for the feast. the day after thanksgiving we picked out our tree at the y's men's (get it? no, really...) lot at our local ymca, and spent the day decorating for the season. the apartment looks great with some of the new decorations we purchased.

december (to date)
went to my very first (many more to come i'm sure) jingle bells fundraiser in alexandria. nikki, terri's sister, co-chairs this well-known charity fundraiser for the jaycees organization. we went with mom & dad thronson and maya, nikki and brian's oldest child. i think my favorite act was a dance troupe of senior ladies known as the runestone rockettes. our choir at grace university lutheran church had their seasonal performace which went very well - no autographs please, though. terri has been out of town with work for the past week and will be gone for the next half-week as well before she starts a well deserved two-week vacation. my last class for physiology was on wednesday, and the final is this upcoming monday afternoon. i am well positioned to get an a in the course, but wish me luck!

odds & ends
we're looking forward to spending our first christmas together as a married couple. tomorrow night we'll be spending the evening at mom & dad browne's to celebrate the 2nd night of hannukah with my family. terri will have her first experience with potato latkes. next weekend we'll head up to the thronson family farm to spend xmas eve with the family there - rumor has it, prime rib will be involved - i'll keep you posted. we're expecting a new addition to our family next august - terri and i have picked out a breeder for our first puppy - more updates to come on that. we're both very excited! nikki and brian are also expecting another addition to their household - we got word a few weeks ago that nikki is pregnant with their third child. they are expecting sometime in spring of 2007. very exciting!!!

holiday disclaimer
we both want to wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season. we wish you and yours the very best, and we hope to be able to share our blessings and joy with you in the upcoming new year. take wonderful care of yourself, and keep in touch! until next time...

love,
terri & aaron
