this post will be all text because i (thankfully) do not have any pictures to commemorate the event that took place yesterday: william's first public temper tantrum. at 1 year and 1 day old william started throwing tantrums. they aren't the all out throw-myself-on-the-floor-kicking-and-screaming tantrums (yet), but he loudly voices opinion when he doesn't get his way. he used to be easily distracted in these situations, but those days are over!
yesterday i was in a baby store in st. paul going over cloth diaper options with a friend (which reminds me that i've been meaning to write a post about the awesomeness that is cloth diapers...), and i gave william a ball to play with to keep himself occupied. when it was time to go i took the ball away, and that did not go over well! he arched his back, threw back his head, and screamed. we left the store after i realized that i couldn't divert his attention, and he calmed down.
when did my precious baby become a little boy with independent thoughts and opinions??? i guess infancy is over and we have now entered the crazy world of toddlerhood!

Just tell him that if he doesn't stop, Aunt Min will get her big bad spinning wheel out!
