a new hue arrives!

we are proud to announce the arrival of a new hue to the browne family. william stephen browne arrived at 11:31pm on may 9, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs 15 oz and measuring 19.5 inches. he has his daddy's dark hair (complete with sideburns) and long feet and his mom's blue eyes and nose. he arrived after 16 hours of labor (9 hours of mild contractions, 7 hours of more active/intense labor). we intended to labor at home as long as possible because it was a more comfortable environment, and we planned to have an unmedicated delivery. by the time we arrived at the hospital william was already crowning, and he was born 20 minutes later! our planning was successful!!!

our first week home with him has been filled with joy, love, and some happy tears. he is truly a sweet little boy! he hardly makes a peep unless he is hungry or needs a diaper change. we are trying to soak up every moment with him since we know he will grow up so fast!
