graduation

on may 16th aaron officially graduated from the uw-madison physician assistant program. as the class president, aaron gave a very thoughtful speech at the ceremony. he was also the co-recipient of the outstanding senior student award, for which he was selected by his peers. aaron's parents came to madison for the weekend to meet william and to celebrate aaron's graduation. we are all very proud of his accomplishments!

william was an angel at the graduation ceremony -- he slept through the whole thing. it was our first outing with him, and we can only hope that all future outings will be that easy. however, i don't think we will be so lucky!

aaron is now studying for his board examinations, which he will take on may 29th. he will begin working in the emergency department at hennepin county medical center in minneapolis on july 1st.

here are a few pics from the big day:

aaron had only one graduation gift request --
a cheesecake from carnegie deli in new york city.
it weighed 12 pounds, and it was delicious!!!
