We found out on August 24, 2008 that we are going to be parents! Terri is due on May 3, 2009, and we're very excited to welcome home the new addition to the family. 2009 is going to be an exciting year. In a matter of two months we will have a baby, Aaron will graduate and take his boards, then we will pack up, move back to Minnesota, buy a house, and Aaron will start a new job! Whew! It will be a whirlwind, but we are looking forward to all of the exciting changes that lie ahead.
Terri has been dealing with some nausea, especially in the morning, but otherwise things are going well. She had some spotting when she was seven weeks along, so the midwife had her go in for an ultrasound. Thankfully the ultrasound showed that everything is going perfectly, and the ultrasound technician was able to detect a strong heartbeat. We are looking forward to hearing the heartbeat at the 12-week appointment later this month!
It will be interesting to see if Aaron has to share his birthday with yet another relative. He already shares his April 30th birthday with his twin brother Adam and their uncle Greg!
Aaron is still working on his family practice rotation at the McFarland, Wisconsin clinic. It is going well, and he has discovered that he really enjoys the relationship building aspect of family practice. He has three more weeks of this rotation, and then he will head off to Marshfield, Wisconsin for his internal medicine rotation for eight weeks. Terri and Brinkley will miss him while he is gone, especially since he has been such a huge help to Terri over the last few weeks while she hasn't been feeling well. He's been getting up early to walk Brinkley and make Terri breakfast in the morning, and he takes care of a lot of the errands and other tasks in the evening. Terri really appreciates his help!!
