what's in a name?

i must give credit where credit is due. i should admit that i "lifted" the name for this blog from my childhood. as adam can attest, part of our upbringing (not unlike that for many of you) included some sort of religious education. part of our weekend was spent at the temple of aaron in st. paul doing just that. since adam and i were somewhat of outsiders to the group, and being twins, we were often the brunt of some childhood jokes. one kid, whose name at temple was shlomo (i think every confirmation class has at least one - ours was one of those pampered little rich kids from the st. paul private schools), would tease adam and i saying that we were a different shade of brown - or something close to that. anyway, that little phrase stuck with me (even after years of psychological evaluation and shock therapy) and i thought it would be a cute spin on the name of this little blog. so there you have it - childhood trauma can amount to some good in our lives. now if i could just make some money on it... :) not sure why i was thinking of that this morning. either way, hope y'all are having a great day!
