I've been trying to force myself to shoot in manual mode as much as possible. It's tempting to use the semi-manual modes since they are so much faster to set up, and my pictures usually turn out (whereas about 75% of the ones I shoot in manual look terrible!). But one evening while we were waiting for Aaron to get home from work I had fun experimenting with manual mode while taking some pictures of William.
You Capture's theme this week is Summertime, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate summer in Minnesota than to run around in your skivvies!

So cute. I too have tried to capture photos in manual. The other night I took 30 photos of lightning and got nothing. I would have been better off in auto. I've gotten much better storm/lightning pics with my little instamatic.
Great pictures! I can tell you are learning a lot about photography. And William is such a cute subject! :)
