extreme makeover: yard edition

okay, so the title of this post is slightly exaggerating the truth, but i thought that "extremem makeover: narrow strip of dirt that borders our driveway edition" was a bit too wordy.  :)

the landscaping in our backyard has several beautiful perennials, but it appears that none of it has been weeded or tended to in at least a few years (we have lived here for just over a year now).  i really want a vegetable garden, so we decided to pull up a section of the landscaped area to become just that.  for working on a rather small space (about 3 ft x 25 ft), it took three adults all morning to complete the task, but we are very happy with the result!  i am excited to get some vegetables in the ground next spring.

william spent the day at my sister's house where he had fun playing with his cousins.  thank you auntie kim and uncle jamie for babysitting!

our future vegetable garden!

this thursday we are heading out for our first family vacation since william was born.  we'll be spending a week or orlando, and we can't wait!  we'll post updates when we get home.
