the last week of june was very eventful for us! we moved from madison to the twin cities, but not without a little bit of drama. on moving day the dryer in our apartment started on fire and filled our apartment with smoke. thankfully the only damage done was to the clothes that were in the dryer. on the drive to minnesota aaron and brinkley took the mazda, which began to overheat in the 90+ degree weather, so they had to drive most of the way with the heat running. terri and william rode in the accord, and thankfully their friend alex agreed to come along since william doesn't like to be in the car. alex drove most of the way and terri sat in the back with william. the drive took 7.5 hours altogether because of extra stops needed for william, but it would've taken even longer if alex wasn't there!!
we'd also like to send out a very extra special thanks to our neighbor and friend melinda in madison. she babysat william and brinkley while we packed, cooked us food, let us stay in her apartment, and is a great friend. she has been like family to us, and we really appreciate it. thank you!!!
that weekend william got to meet most of the rest of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. on sunday, june 28th he was baptized at grace university lutheran church in minneapolis. it was a very nice service, and we all enjoyed pizza and cake at davanni's afterwards.
we had a couple more days to get settled, then aaron started his job on july 1st. so far it is going well, and he doesn't have to work over the 4th of july holiday. woo-hoo! terri is enjoying her new role as stay-at-home mom as well.
here are some pics from the weekend...
