minnesota bound-ed?

any ideas on the past-tense of bound? no? me neither, but i digress...

this past weekend we trekked up north to see friends and family in the land of 10,000 lakes (give or take a couple thousand). it was a whirlwind event to say the least. we were fortunate to have some great company for the ride in both directions. our friend, melissa (aka mel-dog) parted ways with madison for the weekend to spend time with "the girls" (the nebulous group name for terri's group of college roomies). jen, one of "the girls", who moved to new york a few months back was in town for a visit; hence, reason for a party. not to exclude the two birthdays and an impending marathon. anyway, we all had a great time catching up and hanging out!

after a very short night of sleep at the folk's place in burnsville, we met up with my friends for breakfast at Jensen's Cafe (if you haven't been - go - it's delicious!). the highlight of the morning was watching terri play a game with james - here's a pic and a video of the game. i apologize for the flashing logo on the screen - cheap software companies want you to pay for the clean version of the video. sheesh!!!

other highlights of the day included watching my cousin sarah's homecoming volleyball game, lunch with the 'rents at the Good Earth in edina, and attending our friends', jodi & jenny, wedding in minneapolis. at the end of the day, we hobbled back to burnsville and crashed hard!!!

before the long ride home sunday, terri made an awesome breakfast of homemade pancakes for mom & dad (& me). we also stopped by adam & nabila's house to check out their decorating efforts - nice gym bro. we even happened upon an unsuspecting davanni's restaurant and decided to have pizza for lunch with kim & jamie. all in all, a great weekend was had. we enjoyed seeing many of you, and we wish that we were able to see everyone. stay tuned for this friday when we bring home brinkley!
