post taxation pontification

a quick note before the coming onslaught of updates over the next few days. terri took her last section of the cpa exam yesterday morning; hopefully, she will be done with the examination section of her certification pending a pass on this exam. we'll keep you updated! there have been many, many new things happening over the past few weeks. so, instead of trying to cram all of this information into a single posting, i will be sending out more concise updates over the next several days to get you up to speed. in the mean time, a friend emailed me the following story - regardless of its truth, the humor is poignant. enjoy!

when NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity. to combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C. the Russians used a pencil. your taxes are due again - enjoy paying them.
